General Surgeon

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join a well-established surgical team in Easton, Maryland.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a community-based hospital setting with access to robotics and advanced surgical resources, supported by a strong regional health system.


Practice Details

  • Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Shared general surgery call rotation
  • Dedicated OR block time
  • Access to robotic-assisted surgery platform
  • Strong referral base from primary care and specialties
  • Collaborative, team-based surgical environment

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of general surgery procedures
  • Utilize robotic-assisted surgical techniques
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient surgical care
  • Participate in shared call coverage
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered surgical outcomes

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $485,406
    • Based on MGMA and SullivanCotter benchmarks
    • Commensurate with experience and training
  • Sign-on options (choose one):
    • $20,000–$25,000 bonus OR
    • $50,000 housing allowance (year one)
  • Relocation assistance up to $10,000
  • Competitive production bonus

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Active Maryland medical license (or eligibility)
  • DEA certification
  • Eligible for privileges at a UMMS-affiliated acute care facility
  • Strong surgical skills and clinical experience required
