Opportunity for Hematology/Oncology Physician in NW Kansas

Our medical center is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our Dreiling/Schmidt Cancer Institute. Our comprehensive cancer care center offers Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Hematology services. The outpatient clinic underwent a 3.8-million-dollar expansion. In 2015, the Cancer Institute completed the installation of a new, state-of-the-art Tru-Beam linear accelerator with SBRT.

We are a 207-bed regional referral center serving a population of base of 150,000.  We have over 1,500 associates and our medical staff consists over 130 providers representing a full range of specialist services.  In 2022, we were named one of the Top 20 Rural and Community Hospitals in the Nation by the National Rural Health Association.  In 2023, our medical center was recognized as one of the Top 20 US hospitals by Vizient as a Top Performer in the Complex Care Medical Center cohort.  We provide expertise with compassion, elevating outcomes and creating an exceptional patient experience.

The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation.  

Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities.
