Brown University Health is seeking a full-time Neurohospitalist to join our academically oriented team at Rhode Island Hospital.  The successful candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with fellowship training or experience in Vascular Neurology.  This position will aid in the growth of the Neurology service line working with a committed group of health professionals and a team with very low turnover.
About the job:

  • Responsible for rounding on Neurology patients at our 719-bed flagship hospital in the heart of Providence
  • Work with 4 other neurohospitalists – some cover other hospitals in the general Providence area
  • 26 - 29 weeks of clinical; only 11 weekends total
  • Shifts are 10 hours, 7a-5p with no overnight obligation
  • Patients are typically general neurology & stroke
  • Call is 1 in 8 during the week for the general wards, 1 in 11 weekend call
  • Academic appointment to Brown with teaching responsibilities

About you:

  • Board certified or eligible in Neurology additional fellowship training or experience in vascular neurology required
  • Completion of a US based Neurology residency required
  • Demonstrate excellence as a teacher of Neurology
  • Interest in settling long term in Rhode Island &/or Southeastern Massachusetts
