Why Detroit
Detroit is a city in the middle of a remarkable resurgence — a place where deep cultural roots and a reinvented urban core make for a genuinely compelling place to live. The cost of living remains well below most major metros, giving your compensation real purchasing power whether you're buying a home in the city or settling into one of the area's excellent suburban communities. Detroit's dining and arts scenes punch well above their weight, anchored by world-class institutions like the Detroit Institute of Arts, a legendary music heritage, and a restaurant landscape that continues to draw national attention. With easy access to the Great Lakes, professional sports across all four major leagues, and a tight-knit medical community, Detroit offers a quality of life that consistently surprises those who experience it firsthand.
