What You’ll Do
- Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Collaborate closely with specialists, primary care providers, nursing, respiratory therapy, Emergency Medicine physicians, and ancillary services
- Coordinate care plans and support smooth transitions of care
- Order, interpret, and act on laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Document patient encounters, care plans, and outcomes in the EMR; respond to medical emergencies and rapid response situations
What You Need
Required
- MD or DO
- Ability to provide inpatient hospital medicine care (credentials/eligibility will be required)
Preferred
- Experience managing acute and chronic inpatient conditions in a hospital setting
- Comfort working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and handling inpatient emergencies/rapid response situations
- Experience with documentation in an EMR environment
