Description:

  • Full-Time Opportunity
  • Provide specialized surgical care for a broad range of colorectal conditions, including benign and malignant diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus.
  • Perform advanced minimally invasive and robotic colorectal procedures, including colorectal cancer resections, inflammatory bowel disease surgery, and pelvic floor disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with gastroenterology, oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology teams within a multidisciplinary framework to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Participate in colorectal cancer program initiatives, including tumor boards and quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintain an active elective surgical practice aligned with the surgeon’s clinical expertise and interests.
  • Participate in shared call coverage in coordination with the broader surgical team.
  • Engage in the education of medical students and general surgery residents in the operating room, clinic, and academic settings.
  • Contribute to institutional quality initiatives and adherence to evidence-based practices in colorectal surgery.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school; successful completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Colorectal Surgery fellowship required.
  • Board certified/ board eligible in General Surgery
  • Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgical techniques.
  • Experience managing complex colorectal conditions, including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and pelvic floor disorders.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrated interest in multidisciplinary collaboration, academic surgery, and clinical excellence.
  • Candidates should be team-oriented, with a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes and fostering a collaborative environment.
