Interventional Radiologist – Sinai Medical Group | Chicago, IL

Position Overview

Sinai Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our dynamic and growing radiology team in Chicago. This role is a hybrid diagnostic and interventional radiology position which has opportunities for leadership within the IR section, if desired. Our interventional radiologists perform a broad range of minimally invasive procedures while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on improving access to high-quality care in the underserved community.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership traits and have the ability to function as an interventional radiologists with some diagnostic radiology capabilities as well. The candidate will be committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full spectrum of image-guided interventional procedures, including vascular and non-vascular interventions
  • Provide consultative services and collaborate closely with referring physicians across multiple specialties
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, as needed. Manage pre- and post-procedure patient care, including outpatient follow-up
  • Participate in on-call coverage as part of the radiology team
  • Contribute to program development and expansion of interventional services
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Completed fellowship in Interventional Radiology
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Interventional Radiology
  • Eligible for or currently holding an Illinois medical license
  • Strong procedural skills and clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced interventional procedures (e.g., oncology interventions, embolization, venous disease management)
  • Interest in growing outpatient interventional services
  • Experience practicing in a community-based or academic-affiliated environment
