Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Neurologist, you will join a team dedicated to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we serve in Durango and the surrounding region. This position will provide exceptional outpatient neurological care while contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system.

 

Every day you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of neurological conditions in the outpatient setting, including movement disorders, epilepsy, headache disorders, neuromuscular diseases, stroke follow-up, dementia, and multiple sclerosis. You will also perform and interpret electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) to aid in the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular disorders. You will collaborate closely with primary care providers, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation specialists, imaging teams, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. In addition to your primary clinic in Durango, you will participate in outreach clinics throughout the region, strengthening access to high-quality neurological services and building lasting relationships with patients and referring providers in rural communities.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Neurologist who is committed to delivering exceptional outpatient neurological care.

  • Possess expertise in clinical neurology, EMG/NCS interpretation, and the diagnosis and management of complex neurological conditions, along with strong communication abilities, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, referring providers, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • You will support organizational goals through clinical excellence, physician collaboration, exceptional patient experience, and community engagement.
  • Through regular outreach clinics, you will expand access to specialty neurological care for patients across Southwest Colorado, helping advance a sustainable, growing, and distinctive organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities.

We are offering a competitive base salary guaranteed , a generous CME allowance, and recruiting incentives, which include a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.


Job Requirements

Required:

  • Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
  • Be board certified/board eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Active or Eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado
