The Barnabas Health Medical Group, in collaboration with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, invites applications for a staff pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Robet Wood Johnnson University Hospital-Somerset. The Department is responsible for the oversight and management of all anatomic and clinical laboratory services at Robet Wood Johnnson University Hospital-Somerset, a 339 bed regional medical center in Somerville, NJ. The successful candidate will be a member of the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology team, consulting with members of the medical staff and members of the hospital administration, as well as an opportunity to be an active participant in the educational programs of the Department, including teaching medical students and residents. The successful candidate will have the option to engage in productive research activities. This is a general pathology service, although subspecialty expertise in cytopathology or hematopathology is desirable.
An MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP as well as eligibility to obtain a New Jersey Medical License. Women and diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
We are open to new graduates as well as experienced physicians! Please note that current trainees can earn up to $24,000 with the residency stipend program if they choose to join RWJBH during the final year of residency!
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position for the successful candidate is $375,000 to $445,000 per year.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
