Live in Beautiful Northwest Arkansas While Advancing Pediatric Pulmonology at Arkansas Children's Northwest!

Join our Team in Pursuit of Life-Changing Outcomes

Arkansas Children’s, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking board certified or board-eligible pediatric pulmonology physicians. Successful candidates will join the state’s only pediatric health system at our hospital in Springdale, Arkansas, and play a key role in shaping our rapidly growing program in the Northwest Arkansas region.

Pulmonary Program & Position Highlights:

The team includes another pulmonologist, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists and a full complement of pediatric subspecialists and allied health professionals, supported by our health system. Other highlights include:

  • Nationally ranked higher than any other health system in a 300-mile region on U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of Best Children’s Hospitals
  • Outpatient clinics serving Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding areas of Oklahoma and Missouri
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, including paid parental leave
  • Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine includes specialty clinics such as Cystic Fibrosis, Aerodigestive, Neuromuscular, Severe Asthma and Sickle Cell
  • Robust faculty mentoring program for promotion and tenure
  • Collaboration in multidisciplinary programs such as pulmonary hypertension, asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, chronic ventilation and more
  • Participate in an innovative home ventilator program shared between Arkansas Children’s two hospitals, Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW) and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
  • Leadership, outreach and research opportunities available
  • Engagement with state-wide asthma program and the only accredited Cystic Fibrosis, PCD and Pediatric Sleep Disorders Centers in Arkansas
  • Opportunity to collaborate with the section chief as well as the medical director for sleep medicine to expand services, programs and outreach across the region

Expansion

Arkansas Children’s is undergoing an exciting expansion. In 2026, ACNW will create more resources, advanced tools and spaces tailored to children’s specific needs. This growth will bridge a gap for families from surrounding states who need higher levels of specialized care and will further reduce the need for Arkansas families to seek care outside the region.

In 2026, key enhancements to ACNW will include expanding several outpatient specialties, including Pulmonary through 16,500 new square feet of space. To learn more and see renderings, visit archildrens.org/expansion.
