About the Job:
Treating children and teens presenting in behavioral health crisis in the emergency department and in our urgent short-term clinic which provides short-term stabilization on an outpatient basis
Some patients have co-existing medical and psychiatric disorders
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including child psychiatry trainees, NPs, PAs, LICSWs, LMHCs, and qualified mental health providers
· Opportunities to teach and provide supervision
· Work Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30
Weeknight call is 8–9 nights (phone coverage from home) per year, weekend coverage at 3 or 4 times per year
About You:
Board certified or eligible (within 5 years of residency) physician with fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
Desire to work in a team-based care model
Bring a passion for helping children in complex social and/or medical situations
Good sense of humor, flexibility, ability to triage and prioritize dynamic clinical needs
