Opportunity Details

St. Luke’s University Health Network, an award-winning, not-for-profit health system, is growing its primary care presence across eastern Pennsylvania and seeking board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physicians to join thriving, 100% outpatient practices in Bangor, Pottsville, and Kutztown.

Position Highlights

  • 100% outpatient Family Medicine within a respected, physician-led not-for-profit health system.
  • Four openings across three eastern Pennsylvania communities — Bangor, Pottsville, and Kutztown — all created by practice growth.
  • Balanced Monday–Friday schedule of 36 patient-facing hours plus 4 administrative hours per week, with one evening per week (until 7 p.m.) and flexibility to adjust hours around it.
  • Very Minimal call. Nurse triage and an answering service handle first call, so physicians carry very little call on a 1:5–6 rotation — the same weekdays and weekends.
  • Built-in team support. Kutztown and Pottsville each pair a physician with an APP; Bangor is a brand-new practice for a physician who enjoys building from the ground up.
  • Ready access to specialty physicians across the network for seamless referrals and collaboration.
  • Full-time, health-system-employed position with a three-year initial agreement.

Position Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $270,000–$390,000, plus a production-based model (wRVU and value-based incentives).
  • Sign-on bonus: $20,000
  • Relocation assistance of up to $12,500.
  • Student loan assistance
  • Resident and fellowship stipend
  • License and DEA reimbursement
  • CME funding and dedicated CME time off
  • Comprehensive, employer-paid benefits package with a retirement plan.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick days.
  • Medical malpractice coverage with tail.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine for the Pottsville and Kutztown locations.
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine required for the Bangor location.
  • Pottsville and Kutztown: 2027 graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Bangor: minimum of 5 years of post-residency experience. This is a brand-new, single-physician practice well suited to an engaging, relationship-driven physician who is excited to build a panel and grow within the community.
  • Active or ability to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license.
  • CV required for consideration.
