About the Opportunity

Augusta Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Occupational Medicine Physician to join our growing Occupational Health program in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley. This is an excellent opportunity to step into an established practice while serving as a key clinical and organizational leader. The physician will provide occupational medicine services, support workforce health initiatives, and serve as Medical Director and Medical Review Officer (MRO) for the organization.

Practice Highlights

Practice Setting: Established Occupational Health clinic serving regional employers, manufacturing companies, law enforcement agencies, and fire departments
Schedule: Enjoy a 4/10 work week for better work-life balance, or a traditional 5-day work week
No Call
Current Staff: 2 Physicians, 1 APP, supported by an experienced Director, Manager, RN, CMA, and Administrative Assistant
Clinical Volume: Average of 8–10 patients per day
Locations: Primary practice in Fishersville with potential outreach services in Harrisonburg and Lexington
Leadership Opportunity: Serve as Medical Director and organizational Medical Review Officer
Collaboration: Work closely with local employers, safety leaders, human resources teams, and community organizations to promote workforce health and injury prevention

Qualifications

MD/DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Occupational Medicine preferred
• Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine physicians will also be considered
• Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia
• Medical Review Officer (MRO) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Medical Director experience preferred
• Strong interest in preventive medicine, workplace health, and community-based care
