Sky Lakes Medical Center | Klamath Falls, Oregon  Collaborative Care. 13 Weeks Off. Leadership Trajectory.

Join a dependable, collegial team of anesthesia professionals at Sky Lakes Medical Center . We are expanding our team to support robust community growth and optimize our long-term care model . This creates a rare, highly supportive environment where a team-oriented physician can step into a thriving practice, mentor dedicated CRNAs, and naturally transition into a local leadership role .

The Opportunity: Independent, Full-Scope Practice

Step into a role that combines a diverse case mix with a highly attractive lifestyle model in a stunning Pacific Northwest mountain town .

  • The Team Model: We utilize a highly collaborative and independent care model . Our CRNAs practice at full scope, with MDs rotating between scheduled cases and providing excellent backup call and mentorship .

  • The Growth Vision: Our current team of 3.5 physicians and 1.5 CRNAs is growing toward an optimized target model of 4 MDs and 6 CRNAs .

  • Clinical Environments: Coverage spans the Main Hospital OR, a dedicated Labor & Delivery OR, and our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) located conveniently just across the street . A daily float position is built into the schedule to seamlessly bridge the main OR and the ASC .

  • Diverse Case Mix: Broad-spectrum clinical practice including General Surgery (with high-volume endoscopy), Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Spine, Vascular, Trauma (Level III facility), Healthy Pediatrics, and a heavy emphasis on Regional anesthesia .

  • Obstetrics Support: Care for our 12-bed Family Birthing Center, which manages approximately 600 deliveries per year .

  • Daily Volume: Average case volume ranges from 3–6 main OR cases or 8–12 endoscopy cases per day .

  • Schedule & Call: Enjoy a highly predictable schedule designed for sustainability and lifestyle, featuring a 39 weeks on / 13 weeks off model. Your standard week consists of three days of scheduled cases (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), one call day, and one post-call day off. Call is highly supported, with CRNAs primarily taking first call on weekdays and physicians on backup.

What a Typical Week Looks Like:

    • Monday: Scheduled cases (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

    • Tuesday (Call Day): Scheduled cases or float backup during the day; pager call after 5:00 PM

    • Wednesday: OFF (Post-Call)

    • Thursday: Scheduled cases (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

    • Friday: Scheduled cases (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Note: Weekend call features an alternating first/second call structure (e.g., 1st call Friday, 2nd call Saturday, 1st call Sunday), followed by Monday off.
