Located in Kansas City, MO - we are currently recruiting for Primary Care Physicians. Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is not required but preferred. You will be responsible for providing primary care for a diverse group of veterans. The employee shall provide services which include, but are not limited to, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with typical primary care (including the routine care of women patients) conditions and complete thorough work ups prior to specialty consultation according to usual and acceptable or customary standards of medical practice. The provider will follow VA established clinical and preventive guidelines and document accordingly. The physician will report to the Primary Care Service Section Lead. The physician will work independently, caring for outpatients in an established clinic. Specialists and other primary care providers are available for consultation. The physician shall be expected to cooperate and collaborate fully with other staff members in meeting the medical care needs of VAMC patients. The physician is accountable for health care outcomes, ethical practice, peer review, and continued professional development to support the mission of the Veterans Health Administration.
