Wake Forest Baptist, an 885?bed tertiary care academic medical center, partners closely with Wake Forest University School of Medicine, creating a strong environment for education, innovation, and clinical research. The program is structured to manage the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease, from preventive and general cardiology to advanced interventions, heart failure, transplant, structural heart disease, and complex electrophysiology. This academic integration allows physicians to care for some of the most complex cardiac and vascular patients in the region while remaining engaged in teaching and scholarly activity. Programs include advanced heart failure and transplant, congenital heart disease, structural heart interventions, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular and endovascular surgery.

High Point Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is a 351-bed facility and the second-largest hospital in the Wake Forest enterprise, serving a regional population of more than 600,000 across North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad. Cardiovascular care is centered at the Congdon Heart & Vascular Center, offering a full spectrum of advanced cardiac and vascular services within a state-of-the-art facility. Services include invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiology; cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology services; comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery; advanced imaging and diagnostic testing; cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation through the Heart Strides program; and preventive cardiology and risk factor management.
