Pulmonologist Opportunity in Edison, NJ - Sleep Medicine Training a Plus

Pulmonology Internists, PA (part of the Hackensack Meridian Health network) is seeking to employ a Board-Certified or Eligible Pulmonologist to join the growing team in Edison, New Jersey. The physician will cover a mix of outpatient clinic days, ICU rounds, and hospital consults at JFK University Medical Center. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and strong communication skills, with a commitment to outstanding patient care. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established practice with multiple providers in beautiful Central NJ. Edison, New Jersey, is a vibrant township in Middlesex County, accessible by major highways and public transportation. The town is known for its highly rated public schools and convenient access to New York City. 

General Pulmonologist Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with a broad spectrum of  pulmonary and sleep disorders 
  • Participate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care 
  • Expand volume and implement novel procedures and therapeutics for acute and chronic  pulmonary disease
  • Expand and offer consultative and diagnostic inpatient services at  JFK University Medical Center
  • Teaching opportunities: medical students, residents 
  • Foster and expand collaborations with Thoracic Surgery, Chest Radiology, and Lung Cancer and Pulmonary Nodule Programs 
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records using our EHR Electronic Health Record) system (currently Epic EHR)

Sleep Medicine Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a wide array of sleep disorders 
  • Prescribe initial positive airway pressure (PAP) settings, evaluate, and manage all modalities of PAP, including making necessary changes to pressure settings, evaluation and management of sleep-related ventilatory disorders.
  • Provide interpretation of sleep studies and sleep oximetry if BC in Sleep Medicine 
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists to ensure patients receive continuous quality care.

 Critical Care Medicine Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative services in the Intensive Care Units

Requirements 

  • M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School
  • Board certified/eligible in internal medicine and pulmonology; sleep boards a plus
  •  Current or eligible for: NJ Medical License, CDS, and DEA

Located in Edison, JFK University Medical Center is a tertiary care facility within the Hackensack Meridian Health network. The medical center serves Middlesex, Union, and Somerset counties, providing advanced healthcare.

Pulmonology Internists, PA is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The minimum base salary for this position is $325,000.
