Telemedicine Physician | Psychiatry, FM or IM | Flexible 1099 | Multi-State Licensure Preferred

Mentavi Health is expanding its nationwide Medical Treatment Network and seeking experienced physicians to provide evidence-based behavioral healthcare through a fully virtual platform.

This is a flexible 1099 telemedicine opportunity for physicians with experience in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine who are comfortable with medication management and ongoing behavioral health treatment.

Current Licensing Priorities

We are particularly interested in physicians who are already actively licensed in one or more of the following states:

Urgent Need

• Mississippi — physician must have supervision experience and availability to supervise one NP

High Priority

• Kansas
• Nebraska
• New York
• Utah
• Missouri

Additional Priority States

• Arizona
• Montana
• Delaware
• Iowa

Physicians with multiple active state licenses or IMLC eligibility are especially encouraged to apply. Mentavi is prioritizing providers who are already licensed in states with current patient needs.

About the Opportunity

Mentavi patients complete the assessment and diagnostic process before reaching the medical treatment provider. Your role will focus primarily on ongoing treatment and medication management, including care for ADHD, anxiety, depression, binge eating disorder, and related behavioral health conditions.

Physicians will:

• Conduct virtual patient visits by video
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe/manage medications
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as appropriate
• Provide patient education and ongoing care
• Maintain timely medical records and respond to refills, tasks, and patient inquiries
• Collaborate with other members of the clinical team
• Maintain telemedicine and HIPAA compliance

Mentavi provides AI-supported documentation tools, and its Patient Engagement Team manages patient-side scheduling, reminders, and the portal experience.

Schedule & Practice Structure

• 100% remote telemedicine
• Independent contractor (1099)
• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling
• Providers set their own availability
• Recurring weekly availability preferred
• DrChrono EMR
• Provider supplies computer/device, reliable internet, and a private workspace

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Completed Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine residency
• Board certification required
• Minimum 2 years of mental healthcare experience OR 5 years of primary care experience
• No residents, fellows, or new graduates
• Active, unrestricted physician license in a current priority state
• Active DEA and applicable state controlled-substance credentials
• Previous telemedicine experience highly preferred
• Recent clinical experience
• Experience with behavioral health treatment and medication management

Compensation & Coverage

• Initial consultation: $70 per completed 30-minute visit
• Follow-up: $40 per completed 15-minute visit
• Initial visit no-show/<24-hour cancellation: $25
• Follow-up no-show/<24-hour cancellation: $15
• License/DEA expenses reimbursed up to $1,000 annually when actively used for Mentavi services
• Malpractice coverage provided by Mentavi: $1M per claim/$3M aggregate, including tail coverage
• Patient volume varies by state and is not guaranteed

For the Mississippi opportunity, NP supervision responsibilities are compensated separately.
