Position Summary:

The University of Oklahoma Medical Center seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Academic Hospitalist Physician to join our dynamic Hospital Medicine division. This full-time faculty position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient care at a leading academic medical center, while actively contributing to resident education, quality improvement, and scholarly activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage for hospitalized patients, including admissions and cross-coverage across general medicine and subspecialty services.
  • Engage in departmental quality improvement initiatives and attend faculty meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents and advanced practice providers (APPs).
  • Respond to rapid response and code blue events in collaboration with the ICU and emergency teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings as needed.

Schedule & Coverage:

  • Shift Structure: 7 on / 7 off, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Team Composition: Collaborative team of physicians, APPs, and Internal Medicine residents.
  • Average Cross Coverage: 75-100 patients across multiple units

  • Compensation: Competitive starting salary ($340K+), with production and quality bonuses, sign-on and retention incentives
