Opportunity Criteria
Trauma Trained Surgeon | The Woodlands, TX
- Rapid Assessment: Examine patients, run fast tests, and evaluate severe injuries from accidents or violence.
- Emergency Surgery: Perform urgent operations on multiple organ systems, including chest and abdominal repairs.
- Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary medical teams in high-stress trauma bays and emergency rooms.
- Critical Care Management: Manage post-surgical recovery and patient care in the intensive care unit (ICU)
Required Qualifications
- Education: Earn a bachelor's degree, an M.D. or D.O. degree from medical school, and complete a 5-year general surgery residency.
- Fellowship: Complete an additional 1-to-2-year fellowship in surgical critical care or trauma surgery.
- Certification: Obtain state medical licensure, general surgery board certification, and subspecialty certification in surgical critical care
