St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana is looking for a Program Director for our ACGME Accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program!

With our first class of residents graduated, we are seeking a Program Director who shares those goals and has the expertise to create and maintain this environment. This individual will gain the satisfaction of helping to build a program to serve the needs of Northeast Louisiana for years to come.
Job Description
The Program Director is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and general administration of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The Program Director is also responsible for the standards, quality, and reputation of the program. They will be expected to integrate the program with existing hospital services in a manner that enhances value and quality for patients and residents’ educational experiences, as well as promote an optimum environment for professional development. The program director must administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating the residents in each of the ACGME competency areas. The Program Director will collaborate with the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and DIO to prepare and present routine status reports on the program and its residents, as well as meet all required ACGME standards to obtain and continue program certification. The institutional application is pending placement of a full-time program director. This program is fully supported by the leadership of the medical center and health system. Our experienced interim program director will be available to support this position during the transition.
