Deaconess Health System is inviting Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physicians to become a vital part of our hospital-employed EM team, delivering high-quality, fast-paced care across a variety of dynamic settings in Evansville, Indiana, and Henderson, Kentucky. 

Practice Highlights:
• Diverse Clinical Settings
-Midtown Campus – A 237-bed Level II Trauma Center, centrally located in the heart of Evansville. 
-Gateway Campus – A 250-bed acute care hospital with modern facilities and advanced technologies. 
-Henderson Hospital – A 143-bed acute care center across the river, rich in community tradition. 
-New Satellite Emergency Department – State-of-the-art and built with efficiency in mind. 
• Flexible Scheduling
-9-hour shifts at Midtown, Gateway, and Henderson 
-12-hour shifts at the Satellite ED 
-Full-time defined as just 15 shifts/month 
-Schedules are request-based and highly flexible 
• EPIC EMR – Integrated, reliable, and intuitive

Compensation & Benefits:
• Average annual compensation of $525,000 ($333.00 per hour) with the opportunity to earn up to $648,000 ($388.00 per hour).
-Additional annual incentive of up to $25,000 annually for dedicated nocturnists. 
• Up to $164,000 in incentives, including:
-$50K Sign-On Bonus 
-$75K in Student Loan Forgiveness 
-Up to $24K in Educational Assistance 
-Up to $15K in Relocation Assistance 
• Comprehensive benefits including:

Deaconess Gateway Hospital provides a full range of acute-care services, including emergency medicine, surgical services, heart care and more. Comprehensive pediatric care is provided through a partnership with Riley Hospital for Children.

The Heart Hospital at Deaconess Gateway is the only acute-care hospital in the region dedicated to heart and vascular care, and it’s unique in its use of a “universal bed” model, in which patients receive all levels of care in one room.

The Women's Hospital provides a complete range of health care services to women and infants.

Deaconess Orthopedic Neuroscience Hospital opened in 2018. This specialized hospital offers expanded surgical services for orthopedic or neuro surgeries, designated neuro post-surgical care units for spine surgeries, minimally-invasive neuro procedures, biopsies and brain surgeries.

STONE FAMILY CENTER

Evansville is home to the new Stone Center, which contains Indiana University School of Medicine – Evansville as well as programs for the University of Evansville and USI. More than 250 USI graduate-level students in the Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy, Master’s of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, and 120 undergraduate, senior nursing students will use the Stone Center.
