EAMC Cardiac Surgery is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its growing cardiac surgery program as the practice expands to two full-time surgeons, providing comprehensive cardiac, thoracic, and cardiovascular surgical care within a well-established, non-profit health system.

Position Highlights

  • Join a growing cardiac surgery program expanding from 1 to 3 surgeons currently supported by 2 APP, plus APP night coverage
  • Accepted subspecialties: Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Full-time, employed position with a balanced inpatient and outpatient practice — approximately 20+ outpatient visits per week, with inpatient volume varying by consult.
  • Access to a full range of subspecialty physicians for collaborative, multidisciplinary care
  • Historically, CV Surgical practice performs approximately 350  cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries annually, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), minimally invasive MAZE procedures for atrial fibrillation, and lung surgery.
  • Supported by a dedicated 10-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) 
  • Advanced practice provider support in place, with APP oversight expected of the surgeon as well as access to Board Certified Critical Care physicians.
  • Cerner EMR currently in use, with a planned system-wide transition to Epic in 2028
