  • Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) 
  • Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive 

 medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing 

  • Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology from an ACGME-accredited program is required 
  • Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with early-stage and advanced breast cancer  
  • Responsibilities include the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients utilizing chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and participation in clinical trials when appropriate 
  • Collaborate closely with Breast Surgical Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics, and other oncology specialists to develop individualized treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes 
  • Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects, while contributing to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows 
  • Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor boards and treatment planning conferences informed by the latest clinical evidence and national guidelines  
  • WCI has been recognized by the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program (AAHRPP) for promoting ethically sound and safe human subjects research practice 
  • Candidates should demonstrate expertise in the management of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative breast cancers 
  • Seeking candidates whose focus is on quality, excellent patient-centered care, exhibit professional demeanor, and promote collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment 
  • Opportunities exist to participate in program development, quality initiatives, clinical research, and the continued growth of breast oncology services across the Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute
