Advanced Endoscopist Opportunity – Build an Endobariatrics Program at Nebraska Medicine

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking an advanced endoscopist to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a fellowship-trained physician to help develop and establish an endobariatrics program within a nationally recognized academic health system. 

As a key member of our advanced endoscopy team, you will join two experienced advanced endoscopists and have the opportunity to shape the future of endobariatric care at Nebraska Medicine. This position offers the ideal combination of clinical practice, program development, teaching, and collaboration across a highly supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Opportunity Highlights: 

• Build and develop an endobariatrics program with institutional support and resources 
• Join a collaborative team of two advanced endoscopists within a growing academic GI division 
• Perform advanced endoscopic procedures, including EUS and ERCP 
• Balance procedural volume with inpatient consults and outpatient clinic responsibilities 
• Collaborate with robust GI, medical oncology, surgical oncology, bariatric surgery, and multidisciplinary teams

The ideal candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified/eligible in gastroenterology with advanced endoscopy fellowship training and procedural expertise in EUS/ERCP.
