$325 per hour, 1099, for dedicated night shift coverage.

Integrative Emergency Services (IES) is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist Physician to join our team at the Baldwin Health Freestanding Emergency Department in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

This is a unique opportunity to practice Emergency Medicine in a lower-acuity freestanding ED setting just minutes from Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, while earning competitive 1099 compensation and working with a physician-led Emergency Medicine group.

The Opportunity

The Baldwin Health Freestanding Emergency Department is a 9-bed, 24/7 emergency facility serving Gulf Shores and the surrounding coastal communities. The facility provides emergency care for both local residents and the area's significant seasonal visitor population.

Certifications:

• ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified/Board Eligible, OR
• ABFM Board Certified with a minimum of 2,500 Emergency Department hours within the most recent 5 years
• Comfortable independently managing emergent airways, particularly in the overnight freestanding ED environment

Practice Details:

• Current Need: Nocturnist
• Physician Coverage needed: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• APP Coverage: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Approximately 80 patients per day
• 9 ED beds
• Approximately 5–7% admission rate
• Lower-acuity environment compared with the Baldwin Health main hospital ED in Foley
• Overnight coverage offers a more independent/solo-practice environment
• Physicians should be comfortable managing emergent airways
• On-site CT, ultrasound and X-ray
• MedHost EMR
• Cleo Health AI scribe
  • Provided at no cost to physicians working 4+ shifts per month
