Indiana University Health Medical Group in collaboration with Indiana University School of Medicine is recruiting a palliative medicine physician to join our well established interdisciplinary palliative care team at the Adult Academic Health Center in Indianapolis, IN. This faculty position offers a blend of inpatient and outpatient clinical practice with teaching and mentorship in a nationally recognized academic institution. Key clinical responsibilities including providing comprehensive symptom management and support for patients with serious illness and their families, facilitate discussions towards goal-concordant care, and complex medical decision making.
Position Details:
* Faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
* Blend of inpatient consultative palliative care with average census of 25-30 visits per week and outpatient practice with 4-6 patients per clinic session
* Participate in shared call and clinical coverage responsibilities
* Engagement in our education mission is expected. Scholarship, quality improvement, and program development is encouraged and supported based on individual interests and professional development goals
