Telecardiology Opportunity in Edenton and Ahoskie, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Heart & Vascular Care are seeking a board-certified cardiologist to provide telemedicine-based cardiovascular care to practices located in Edenton and Ahoskie, North Carolina. At least 2 years of practice experience is required.

  • Full clinical support by ECU Health Heart & Vascular Care Program
  • 100% remote
  • Monday-Friday schedule includes 3 days per week telemedicine in Ahoskie (7:30am-4:30pm) and 2 days per week telemedicine in Edenton (8:00am-4:30pm)
  • Alternating workdays with onsite cardiologist
  • Advanced Practice Provider Support
  • No call
  • Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities include consults, providing care for new and established patients
  • Close collaboration with advanced practice providers who provide onsite clinical care in the respective clinic locations
  • Large primary care and specialist referral network
  • System-wide integrated EMR - EPIC
  • Excellent compensation and benefit package, qualified applicants may also be eligible for loan repayment, sign-on bonus, income guarantees, and residency/fellowship paid commitment stipends.

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the hospital’s 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 21,000 patients per year. This modern facility provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan’s Wound Healing and Pain Management centers serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers. 

ECU Health Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in six counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A seven-bed emergency department serves approximately 18,000 patients per year. For more complex care needs, the facility's state-of-the-art telehealth system allows for a direct connection with the specialists at our academic medical center.
