What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology care for adult patients (18+)
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 15 patients per day
- Perform consultations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for complex cases
- Support telehealth services at associated facilities during call shifts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support staff including nurses
- Document patient care using Epic EMR system
- Maintain on-site coverage during scheduled clinic hours and after-hours call duties
What You Need
Required:
- Medical license for Virginia (VA) in good standing
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology (BC)
- BLS certification
- DEA registration
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Hematology/Oncology
- Clean background with no settled MP history
Preferred:
- Experience with inpatient consultations and infusion services
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple facilities
About the Assignment
This position involves floating between two prominent facilities in Virginia, providing comprehensive hematology and oncology care to adult patients. The role includes covering one week of 24-hour call per month, with tele-consult support at remote locations. The primary site is JMH, with additional coverage at SCCH and RCH. The facility features modern infusion centers and a full spectrum of supportive services, ensuring quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
