What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality inpatient adult medical care in a community hospital setting
- Manage a patient load of approximately 15–20 patients daily
- Respond to codes and rapid response situations
- Collaborate with ED staff, surgeons, and case management teams
- Handle ventilator management and step-down patient care (experience preferred)
- Document and coordinate patient care using Cerner EMR
- Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled
- Ensure smooth discharge processes and patient safety
What You Need
Required:
- Board Certified MD (certification must be Board Certified)
- Active Vermont medical license or eligible for licensure
- Prior hospitalist or inpatient experience
- Strong clinical skills in adult inpatient medicine
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience with ventilator management
- Knowledge of trauma care facilities (Level 3 trauma capable)
- Ability to work independently in a supportive environment
