Mercy Health Dental Residency Program is hiring a part time Dentist to join their great team!

Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown is looking for a dentist to provide part-time services every Wednesday for 9 hour days on an ongoing basis to support our Dental Residency Program. The faculty position provides oversight for the residents in the Dental Clinic.  The dentist will not have their own panel of patients. This is an employed opportunity with guaranteed compensation.

Details:

• Must be a DMD/DDS. 
• Dentist must have completed a 1-year coda approved dental residency.

• Maintains effective working relationships among colleagues, doctors, and staff. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Mercy Health System. 
• Administrative responsibilities include didactic, research and clinical residency instruction.
• The Dentist will work as a team member with other clinical attending doctors and report to the Residency Director. 
• No visa sponsorship is available. 

Residents treat an average of 55 patients per day with high patient volumes (over 13,700 visits per year), serving as a safety-net facility for emergency and routine dental care. Teaching staff include general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, pedodontists, and endodontists. 

The Dental Residency Program supports 6 residents per year (PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents), is based at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and devoted to providing a superior educational experience.  The site hosts a specialized dental clinic for autistic spectrum and developmentally disabled patients, 8 chair operatory, CBCT and specialized clinical equipment/instruments plus operating room experience for comprehensive dental rehabilitation. The Mercy Health Dental Residency Program has been the recipient of many awards and has been recognized by Safety Net Solutions as Top Three in the Nation.
