The Opportunity

  • Assure compliance with all Vituity requirements and policies and communicate those requirements to all Vituity providers.
  • Develop improvement strategy to enhance program operations and lead the execution of program strategy.
  • Managing assignments of Contingent Providers to local sites.
  • Approve expenses and timesheets for each Contingent Provider.
  • Assure that both Contingent Providers and Assignment sites comply with their agreements.
  • Monitor size of program, licensing, and future growth to be able to provide contingency staffing where needed.
  • Work with Recruiting to assure Contingent Providers are deployed where appropriate and timely.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new providers, ensuring the practice is optimally staffed with qualified providers.
  • Evaluate the performance of physicians and Advanced Providers in compliance with Vituity policies and guidelines.
  • Place providers on progressive counseling plans when appropriate and communicate with local site leadership to make sure they are meeting expectations.
  • Develop a team capable of providing the needed amount of contingency staffing.
  • Proactively manage the providers to be prepared for future growth.
  • Work with Contingent staffing team to assure recruiting, credentialing, and assignments are handled.
  • Provide appropriate staffing for sites where needed.
  • Assure Contingent Providers are meeting sites staffing needs.
  • Work with local Medical Directors to have Contingent Providers strive to excel and be a leading performer at the site.
  • Help assignment site medical directors manage Contingent Providers to assure quality care and optimal financial performance.

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Board certification in his/her primary specialty and is in good standing required.
  • Successful major project development and implementation experience required.
  • Minimum of One (1) year formal or informal leadership experience required.
  • Current and valid Medical Degree (MD, DO) from an accredited institution required.
  • Superior clinical skills to serve as role model by setting high standards preferred.
  • Direct contingency clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to motivate physicians and non-physicians, manage multiple assignments, work successfully with a diversity of people, maintain good working relationships; Supportive team member; Ability to establish effective relationships quickly with those inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to recruit clinical workforce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Medical group clinical work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on healthcare operational and quality improvement.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage complexities and multiple demands/projects with proactive and/or innovative thinking.
  • Possess a full understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Contingent Staffing Program.
  • Understand Vituity policies and fiduciary obligations and ensure compliance from providers.

Estimated annual base compensation of $275,000 – $900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Compensation for part-time and per diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked. In addition, Vituity physicians participate in our partnership model from day one, which includes profit distributions, equity ownership, and K-1 tax advantages. Total compensation including partnership income varies by site and may significantly exceed the range shown.
