Research Director - Core Faculty - Academic Emergency Medicine Physician - Fort Worth, TX

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center (BAS) is seeking a Research Director (Core Faculty) to join their team. BAS is a 525-bed medical facility located near Downtown Fort Worth that offers the convenience and personal attention of a local hospital with the respected medical staff and advanced medical technology you’d expect from a regional health care system. Additionally, the Medical Center is institutionally accredited by the ACGME and home to a 3-year Emergency Medicine residency program. Fellowships offered are Medical Education, Administrative Fellowship and EMS Fellowship.

This position is a Full-time Core Faculty position with Academic appointment at the TCU School of Medicine.

Emergency Department:

  • 30% admission rate
  • 1.8 patients per hour
  • 55, 874 annual volume
  • 38-bed ED
  • Level III trauma center
  • Chest Pain Center / Stroke Center
  • OB services available
  • Lab/Cath Lab available
  • EPIC EMR
  • AI Scribe service available - Abridge
  • 48-50 hours of coverage daily
  • APP coverage daily

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all research that is done by EM faculty or residents, or any projects conducted in association with the Emergency Department.
  • Assist faculty and residents in the creation and implementation of new research protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with the Residency Review Committee's (RRC) Program Requirements related to research for Programs in Emergency Medicine.
  • Oversee any research personnel that are involved in projects related to the Department of Emergency Medicine.
  • Fulfill all core faculty obligations for the Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth, Texas, residency program.
  • Teach EM residents consistent with the highest professionalism in emergency medicine while on-duty as the Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at BAS.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates will have an established track record in education, research, teaching, recent scholarly activity, and outstanding clinical service. 
  • Candidate must be board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM/ABOEM) and completion of an accredited residency program in emergency medicine.
