PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN

Family Medicine / Internal Medicine

Los Angeles County, CA


Position Highlights

  • Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule with flexibility for .75+ FTE or a 4-day work week; call is light at approximately 2 weeks per year and can be taken remotely.
  • Desirable Practice Setting: Join a nonprofit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) serving over 14,000 patients annually across multiple Los Angeles County locations, offering primary care, HIV care, dental, behavioral health, PrEP, and more, all under a comprehensive medical-home model.
  • Ideal Work Environment: A manageable outpatient volume of approximately 18 patients per day, supported by a collaborative team of physicians, NPs, and PAs, with eClinicalWorks EMR and standard clinical equipment.
  • Favorable Call Schedule: Minimal call responsibility; about 2 weeks per year, taken remotely.
  • Culture & Support: A mission-driven, socially conscious practice with deep roots in LGBTQ+ health and HIV care, backed by an experienced leadership team and a strong multidisciplinary support staff.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Starting Base salary range of $275,000–$325,000, or DOE.
  • Generous Performance Bonus: Up to $20,000 annually through a quarterly productivity incentive, plus a bilingual pay differential of +$1.00/hour.
  • Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) retirement plan with 6% salary match; malpractice insurance (including tail coverage) and licensing/credentialing fees fully reimbursed for full-time providers; hospital admitting privileges covered for eligible providers.
  • Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis.
  • Student Loan Repayment Assistance: Practice is a qualifying facility for Federal and State Loan Forgiveness Programs.
  • Professional Development: $2,500 annual CME allowance plus 40 hours of CME time per year (prorated by FTE).
  • Additional Perks: Four weeks of vacation, 96 hours of sick time, 11 paid holidays, and four personal days annually.

Qualifications

  • Degree: MD preferred.
  • Certifications: Active BLS certification required.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted California medical license and active, unrestricted DEA registration required.
  • Skillset: Experience or strong interest in HIV management and LGBTQ+ community care preferred; addiction medicine background a plus.
  • Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. New graduates with fellowship or relevant internship training in community health or addiction medicine are welcome to apply; candidates with prior experience are preferred but not required.
  • Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship considered for the right candidate.
