Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive health programs that reduce occupational injury and prevent infectious disease across units. |

Force Health Protection |
Conduct environmental health assessments, epidemiological investigations, and health surveillance to protect military personnel. |

Health & Wellness Promotion |
Develop and advise on physical fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle optimization initiatives for Soldiers and operational units. |

Public Health Leadership |
Serve as the principal medical advisor to commanders on public health threats, environmental hazards, and occupational safety policies. |

Health Professional Special Pay |
$40,000 accession bonus for eligible specialties, paid in three annual installments. $43,000 annual incentive pay, paid in monthly installments. $8,000 board certification pay, paid in monthly installments. |

Up to $250,000 (maximum of $40,000 per year) toward qualifying medical school loans. |

Continuing Medical Education (CME) |
Paid continuing medical education, travel, and specialized military medical training. |

Minimum Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited program. |

Residency / Certification |
Completion of an accredited residency in Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Public Health. Board certified or board eligible. |

Licensure |
Current, valid, and unrestricted state medical license within the United States. |
|
Citizenship & Security |
U.S. Citizen; eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. |
