JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking Staff Physician / Associate Staff Physicians responsible for applying advanced medical knowledge and surgical expertise to the diagnosis, evaluation, prevention, and treatment of adult musculoskeletal conditions within the Orthopedic Surgery service at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors and provides comprehensive care to adult patients within the Orthopedic Surgery service at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
  • Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions within their area of subspecialty expertise.
  • Reviews patient history, clinical findings, imaging, and diagnostic results to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provides nonoperative and surgical treatment as appropriate within approved clinical privileges.
  • Performs Orthopedic surgical procedures and operations within their area of expertise.
  • Leads patient care from initial consultation and surgical planning through postoperative follow-up.
  • Explains diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and expected outcomes to patients and their families.
  • Collaborates with physiotherapists, sports medicine physicians, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records.
  • Contributes to quality improvement, education, research, and evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in appropriate Medical Staff, administrative, and performance improvement activities.
  • Provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner.
  • Adheres to ethical and regulatory standards, approved clinical privileges, and all CCAD Medical Staff policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • For Consultant (Staff Physician) from Tier 1 countries, not less than two (2) years additional experience post qualification.
  • For Consultant (Staff Physician) from Tier 2 countries, not less than five (5) years additional experience post qualification.
  • For Specialist (Associate Staff Physician) from Tier 3 countries, not less than five (3) years additional experience post qualification.
  • Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment, where applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • MD, MBBS, or MBChB from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Completion of a recognized specialty qualification in Orthopedic Surgery, as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate Table listed in the DOH Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements (PQR) 2025.
