Tenet Healthcare is seeking several Hem/Onc physicians to help shape and lead this growing medical oncology practice, offering you both clinical depth and meaningful influence over the program's direction. Position Highlights

  • Specialty: Hematology / Oncology (Hem/Onc)
  • Setting: Outpatient-primary with inpatient support infrastructure in place
  • Patient Volume: 32 patient contact hours per week
  • Outpatient Team: Patient care tech, clinical coordinator, office coordinator, approximately 6 chemo nurses, oncology pharmacist, and certified cancer navigators
  • Inpatient Support: Hospitalist team manages admissions; established general and oncology surgeons on staff (breast, thyroid, colorectal, liver)
  • Integrated Oncology Resources: In-house labs, imaging, oncology pharmacy, pathology, and multidisciplinary tumor boards
  • Co-location: Clinic shares a building with cancer navigation team, physical therapy, and infusion clinic

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO degree required
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology required

The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus is the cornerstone of the Hospitals of Providence network in El Paso.  The Hospitals of Providence has cared for generations of El Pasoans and those throughout the region. The Memorial Campus is a 500-bed hospital that features our all-new private room Level IV NICU, the highest designation in the State of Texas. Combine that with our Level IV Maternal Care designation and newly remodeled labor and delivery suites, the Memorial Campus prides itself in providing the highest level of care for women in the region. The Memorial Campus also features a 24-bed Intensive Care Unit, an 18 bed Geriatric Behavioral Unit, and is home to our Cancer Program, which features an in-patient unit, outpatient infusion and our one-call patient navigator system. The Memorial Campus has received the Joint Commission designation for Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) and earned a Center of Excellence designation for weight loss surgery.

Providence Children’s Hospital, a 140-bed pediatric hospital, is also located on the Memorial Campus and serves children of all ages with a wide array of surgical and diagnostic services. Our Specialty Transport team is also housed at the Memorial Campus and offers regional transport for high-risk mothers, infants, and pediatric patients.

The Memorial Campus Emergency Department offers both an adult as well as a pediatric emergency room. From non-life-threatening emergencies to life’s most critical circumstances, our emergency room provides an advanced array of specialties 24/7. With a Level III Trauma Center Designation, Memorial Campus is dedicated to providing specialized emergency care close to home.
