District Medical Group Inc. (DMG), a 400+ physician not for profit faculty practice group which exclusively contracts to provide clinical, administrative and teaching services to Valleywise Health Medical Center (VHMC), a 240-bed Level I Burn/Trauma Center has a need for a IM hospitalist to join a large IM faculty practice.
The primary duty for this position is providing inpatient care, medical consultations and participating in quality and process improvement initiatives. There are opportunities for teaching residents/medical students.
VHMC serves the largest county in Arizona. It is the second largest teaching hospital in the state of Arizona with multiple residency programs and fellowships. Faculty appointment is available commensurate with qualifications from Creighton Medical School AZ, University of Arizona College of Medicine –Phoenix.
DMG offers a competitive compensation plan and comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, CME allowance with paid time off, and employer paid medical malpractice insurance (includes tail).
DMG will consider both practicing physicians and newly graduated fellows. DMG will also consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship (J-1 waiver and/or H1B).
