Position Highlights

  • Employed position with Desert Care Network (DCN) at Desert Regional Medical Center.
  • Opportunity driven by continued growth and expansion of the neurosurgery service line.
  • Practice conveniently located on the hospital campus, offering seamless access to surgical facilities, inpatient services, and support resources.
  • Traditional mix of 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient responsibilities, providing a balanced clinical practice.
  • Typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Shared 1:3 call schedule, supported by additional PRN coverage to enhance physician work-life balance.
  • Established neurosurgery team and dedicated mid-level provider support.
  • Additional support from two PRN providers to assist with call coverage and patient management.
  • Robust patient demand with clinic volumes of approximately 15-25 patients per day.
  • Access to a large referral network throughout the Coachella Valley and surrounding desert communities.
  • Opportunity to perform a broad range of cranial and spine procedures within a high-acuity regional medical center.

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
  • Fellowship-trained neurosurgeon required.
  • Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted California medical license.
  • Excellent clinical and surgical skills with a commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • New graduates, fellows, and experienced physicians are welcome to apply.
