Job Description

Indiana University Health and IU School of Medicine are seeking a full-time faculty surgeon to join our growing Otolaryngology Division in Indianapolis, IN!

The successful applicants will join the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, a nationally recognized team of more than 35 faculty physicians and researchers. The department also includes a growing number of advanced practice providers and supports four residents and multiple clinical fellows annually across subspecialties. IU School of Medicine offers the only otolaryngology residency in Indiana and ranks 8th nationally in NIH funding among otolaryngology departments. Position Details:

  • General adult ENT (option for 15+ year old) patients from the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area - focusing on IUH West (Avon) and IUH North (Carmel). 
  • Monday - Friday with shared call as primary + resident backup
  • Typical work week will include 2-3 days of clinic with new and established general ENT patients, 1-2 days in operating room, ½ day academic/administrative time.
    • 15+ patients per clinic session
    • 4-6 OR sessions per week
  • In addition to clinical duties, responsibilities include teaching and mentoring surgical residents and medical students.
  • Dual employment with IU School of Medicine

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BE/BC in Otolaryngology
  • Indiana medical licensure or willingness to obtain
  • Open to residents and practicing physicians

Compensation/Benefits

  • 2-year guaranteed base salary then move to wRVU model
