The hospital medicine AMD supports the HM director in leading the hospitalist program and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities focused on operations, quality improvement, physician engagement, and care coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient care as a practicing hospitalist
• Assist in overseeing daily hospital medicine operations and clinician scheduling
• Support quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support hospitalists and advanced practice clinicians 
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, and medical staff leadership to improve patient outcomes an operational efficiency
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and clinician performance management
• Previous physician leadership experience
• Experience with quality improvement, throughput, and healthcare operations
