IU Health - Head & Neck Surgery in Indianapolis, IN

Indiana University Health and IU School of Medicine are seeking a full-time faculty surgeon to join our Head & Neck Surgery Division in Indianapolis, IN!

The successful applicants will join the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, a nationally recognized team of more than 35 faculty physicians and researchers. The department also includes a growing number of advanced practice providers and supports four residents and multiple clinical fellows annually across subspecialties. IU School of Medicine offers the only otolaryngology residency in Indiana and ranks 8th nationally in NIH funding among otolaryngology departments. Position Details:

• Head and Neck surgeon, treating patients in multi-disciplinary teams with Hematology/Oncology at IU Health University Hospital and IU Health North Hospital
  • 80% of the time will be spent at University Hospital, and 20% of time will be spent at North Hospital. 
• Monday - Friday with shared call as primary + resident backup
• Typical work week will include 1-2 days of clinic with new and established patients, 3-4 days in operating room, ½ day academic/administrative time. 
  • 15+ patients per clinic session
  • 4-6 OR sessions per week
• In addition to clinical duties, responsibilities include teaching and mentoring surgical residents and medical students.
• Dual employment with IU School of Medicine

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Doctorate or terminal degree.
• Must have completed a Head and Neck Surgical Oncology fellowship with specialized training in microvascular reconstruction through the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) or be expected to complete fellowship training prior to the start of employment.
• Must board eligible or board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
