MD/DO Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at Emplify Health by Gundersen, La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time BC/BE anatomic and clinical pathologist. The ideal candidate will have broad surgical pathology and cytopathology diagnostic skills. The candidate should also possess superior communication skills and be comfortable in leadership roles.

All surgical pathology and cytopathology diagnostic services currently provided by the pathologists at Emplify Health reside in the central core laboratory location in La Crosse.

  • Annual pathology volumes currently include:

    • Over 38,000 surgical cases

    • 11,000 Paps

    • 2,500 non-gynecologic cytology specimens

    • There is no autopsy service

    • Our PAs gross all surgicals

    • Call is currently 1:10

We offer a compensation package that is competitive to that of private/partnership practices, but with more stability and less risk of contract turnover due to mergers/acquisitions. We also offer a competitive benefit and loan forgiveness package. Emplify Health is a non-profit entity that qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
