RWJBarnabas Health is Seeking a Full-Time Radiation Oncologist at Monmouth Medical Center in Southern New Jersey

RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to join the Radiation Oncology Department at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.

This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive radiation oncology services while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. The department is equipped with advanced radiation oncology technology, including Gamma Knife, two linear accelerators, and HDR brachytherapy, supporting the delivery of precise and comprehensive treatment options. The role also includes opportunities for teaching, medical education, community outreach, and professional development within New Jersey’s largest academic healthcare system.

The Specialty and Cancer Care Center at the Vogel Medical Campus will serve as the southern hub for integrated oncology services provided by RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute, the state’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This innovative care model brings clinical research, specialized expertise, and advanced cancer services closer to patients throughout the region.

About the Position

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care within the Radiation Oncology Department.
  • Serve as an attending physician for Monmouth Medical Center patients.
  • Participate in night and weekend call coverage according to the department schedule.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff and multidisciplinary oncology teams.
  • Participate in teaching responsibilities as delegated by the Chair of Radiation Oncology.
  • Support community and physician outreach initiatives.
  • Participate in medical education programs as needed.
  • Contribute to ongoing performance-improvement reviews in accordance with governmental and Monmouth Medical Center guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Radiation Oncology.
  • New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.
  • Interest in teaching, clinical research, outreach and collaborative multidisciplinary practice.
  • New graduates and experienced Radiation Oncologists are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $500,000 to $750,000 per year.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience
