Bon Secours Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join the established General Surgery team at Memorial Regional Medical Center (MRMC) in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative surgical practice with an established referral base, strong hospital support, and an immediate patient volume.

Opportunity Highlights

• Established General Surgery practice with a strong referral base
• 15–20 clinic patients per day on clinic days
• Established operative volume with limited ramp-up anticipated
• Approximately 7 days of General Surgery call per month, shared across the physician group
• Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. office schedule
• Mix of outpatient clinic, elective surgery, inpatient rounding/consults, and hospital-based care
• Productivity-based compensation model
• Collaborative team including 4 physicians and 1 APC
• Mentorship and collaboration with experienced General Surgery physicians and service-line leadership

Surgical Scope

The practice offers a broad range of General Surgery procedures, including:

• Laparoscopic, robotic, and open procedures
• Hernia surgery
• Gallbladder surgery
• Bowel and colorectal procedures
• Other bread-and-butter General Surgery procedures based on training and privileges

About the Practice

This is a patient-centered, collaborative surgical practice focused on safe, timely access, teamwork, quality outcomes, and continuity of care. The surgeon will work closely with physicians, APCs, hospitalists, emergency department teams, anesthesia, and other specialties. The position offers a high degree of independence within granted privileges while maintaining strong collaboration across the General Surgery team.

The practice is located on the Memorial Regional Medical Center, providing convenient access to the greater Richmond area.
