Diagnostic Radiologist

Position Summary

Join Sinai Chicago's Department of Radiology and become part of a collaborative, patient-centered team dedicated to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to a diverse and underserved patient population. Sinai Chicago is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist to support our growing imaging services across the health system.

The Diagnostic Radiologist will interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies and work closely with referring physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, emergency medicine providers, and other specialists to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information that supports exceptional patient care. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a teaching environment with residents and medical students while contributing to clinical excellence, quality improvement initiatives, and the continued growth of radiology services throughout Sinai Chicago.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Eligible for unrestricted Illinois medical licensure.
  • Current DEA registration (if applicable).
  • Fellowship training welcomed but not required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations.
  • Strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Interest in teaching and academic medicine preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, radiography, and nuclear medicine studies as appropriate.
  • Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Consult with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams regarding imaging findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient imaging services.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental quality assurance and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff across the health system.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities.
  • Supervise and educate residents, medical students, and other learners as applicable.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation within the electronic medical record and radiology information systems.
  • Support ongoing efforts to enhance access, efficiency, and quality of radiology services throughout Sinai Chicago.

Reporting Relationship

The Diagnostic Radiologist reports to the Chair of Radiology and/or the Medical Director of Radiology Services.
