TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate and driven physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join our inpatient rehabilitation care as medical director team in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area. This is a full-time opportunity (5 days/week) rounding in an inpatient rehab facility, with excellent support and training, autonomy, and earning potential. Compensation is fee for service with an estimated compensation range of $438,955 to $450,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential.
In this role, you'll provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive PM&R-focused evaluations, including functional assessments and physical exams
- Develop and manage individualized rehabilitation plans to restore function and maximize independence
- Monitor functional progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab teams, including therapy and nursing staff
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, mobility, and long-term function
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications- Current physician license (State of TN) and DEA
- Experience in PM&R, inpatient rehab facilities, hospitals, or clinic settings preferred, but not required; new grads welcome to apply
- Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
