Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is currently accepting CVs from experienced BE/BC Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians to join our busy and established practice in Venice, Florida.

Venice is located in Sarasota County. With 14 miles of beaches, Venice offers plentiful shopping, family-friendly saltwater adventures and Old Florida charm. Venice was named a Top Five Suburb for City-Like living and is one of USA Today’s 10 Best Must-Visit Beaches in the South.

Practice Information:

• Join two Family Medicine physicians, an Internal Medicine physician, and an Advanced Practice Provider in an established, growing practice.
• Inherit an established patient panel with a strong women’s health focus (55–60%) from a retiring physician.
• Outpatient-only position with no OB responsibilities
• FPG’s Medical Hospitalist Group manages inpatient admissions across all hospitals.
• Clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 7:15AM to 4:30PM, providing an excellent work/life balance. 
• Expected clinic volume is approximately 18 patients per day.
• Equitable call of 1:12. 
• Office is located above an SMH Urgent Care at the intersection of U.S. 41/South Tamiami Trail and the U.S. 41 North Bypass.
• As a combined urgent care and health care center, the Venice location offers radiology and full-service laboratory testing.
• EMR system: EPIC

Benefits Highlights:

• Contract includes a 2-year guaranteed base salary. Physicians can transition to a generous pay model after 2 years.
• Full array of benefits offered includes health, dental, vision, short/long term disability, 403B Retirement Plan, and much more.
• A Commencement bonus and Relocation Allowance is offered.
• Five (5) days and $3,500 Continuing Medical Education per year.
• Four (4) weeks of PTO year 1 and 5 weeks’ years 2 and beyond.
• 5 days of Paid Holidays
• As an employee of a public, State of Florida organization, physicians are entitled to sovereign immunity, no tail insurance is necessary should you leave our practice.
• We are a not-for-profit organization – 501(c)(3). Physicians can participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program if employed by FPG.
• No State income tax in Florida.
