Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Growing Cardiac Surgery Program | Florida

Health First Medical Group is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our growing adult cardiac surgery program in Florida.

This is an opportunity for a surgeon interested in building a comprehensive cardiac surgery practice within a collaborative cardiovascular program. Our program offers a broad range of surgical and structural heart capabilities, with opportunities to participate in program development as we expand advanced cardiac services.

Clinical Opportunity

• Adult cardiothoracic surgery practice with a focus on comprehensive cardiac care

• Active Structural Heart program with access to TAVR, MitraClip, and TriClip

• Minimally invasive cardiac surgery capabilities

• Developing cardiogenic shock program

• Expanding heart failure program

• ECMO initiation available on site, with dedicated teams managing ongoing ECMO care

• STS 3-star program

• No heart or lung transplantation

• No LVAD program currently; future development may provide additional opportunities

• Dedicated APP team supporting cardiothoracic surgery

• Dedicated cardiac anesthesia team

• One hybrid operating room

• Clinic located within the hospital, providing convenient access to inpatient services, imaging, procedural areas, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular resources

• 1:4 call schedule

Ideal Candidate

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon

• Eligible for Florida medical licensure and credentialing

• Experience in adult cardiac surgery

• Interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and/or structural heart preferred

• Strong interest in multidisciplinary cardiovascular care

• Collaborative approach to patient care

• Interest in joining a growing program and contributing to its continued clinical development

Holmes is also proud to be the first hospital in Brevard to offer state-of-the-art robotics-assisted surgery for Urology, Prostate, and Gynecological conditions, advanced anterior hip replacement and reverse shoulder surgeries. As a Primary Stroke Center, our goal is to transport, assess, diagnose, and treat each stroke patient within three hours of the onset of their symptoms. We also offer advanced, life-changing Interventional Neuro-Radiology procedures for advanced stroke treatment found nowhere else in Brevard.
