100% Clinical Outpatient Practice or Traditional Practice

Summary

This Internal Medicine opportunity offers flexibility to choose between two practice models based on your preferred work style.

The 100% Clinical Outpatient option allows physicians to focus primarily on outpatient care with only minor inpatient rounding; all inpatient care is managed by a dedicated hospitalist team, with no hospital coverage and only one holiday phone call per year.

The Traditional Internal Medicine option includes weekday hospital rounding on your own patients prior to clinic, with full support from the hospitalist group for nighttime coverage and all admissions. Both models are designed to provide strong support and an excellent work–life balance.

Schedule

  • Full-time - 36 total hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling – 4 or 4.5 days per week
  • Approx 1:13 outpatient call – phone calls only

Pay and Benefits

  • Salary range: $270,000 - $390,000 per year
    • Pay may be determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, knowledge, location, and internal equity
    • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate
    • May be eligible for additional pay through bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.

Qualifications
Required:

  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine
  • Eligibility for Minnesota medical licensure

Department Information
The department operates across two St. Cloud clinic sites, including one connected to St. Cloud Hospital. It offers strong inpatient and outpatient support with specialist consultations, a large hospitalist group, and APP support in the clinic. Clinicians benefit from a 1:1 clinician-to-hall nurse ratio and robust on-site resources such as care and referral coordinators, PharmD support, anticoagulation nurses, behavioral health providers, and diabetes educators. The department also provides opportunities to teach residents and students, along with flexible, family-friendly scheduling.
